Exhibitions of Grine’s Paintings:


You can find Grine’s work at the Offtrack Gallery in Encinitas and the COAL Gallery in Carlsbad. She has been featured artist at these galleries many times and has had solo shows at libraries, banks and in retirement homes in the area. She also displays her paintings and drawings in group shows.  For many years her paintings have been in the annual Del Mar County Fair, and are in businesses and homes in France, China, England, Australia, New Zealand and across the United States.  Grine has recently been chosen to be one of a hundred artists to have paintings included in a newly published book by James Lightner,  Land of Sunlight: Contemporary Paintings of San Diego County.  The book is on sale in local book stores and gift shops.


Judging and Demonstrations:


Grine judges shows for art organizations in the area and gives pastel demonstrations at their meetings. She helps judge the Student Showcase at the Del Mar County Fair and regularly gives demonstrations in pastel painting in the Fine Art Department at the Fair.


Teaching:


For several years she was the instructor for pastel landscape painting classes at Quail Botanical Gardens, now called San Diego Botanic Garden, in Encinitas, California, and now gives classes at her home studio.  Call to set up a date and time for classes.


Plein Air Painting:


She paints on location with other artists who are members of the San Dieguito Art Guild.  This has become her favorite way to do landscape painting since she enjoys being out doors. There are so many beautiful places to paint in San Diego County.


Media and Subjects:


Pastels are her favorite medium but she also works in oils, pencil and pen and ink.  As well as enjoying landscape painting, Grine does drawings and paintings of figures, animals and still life.  The medium she chooses for a painting usually depends on the subject matter.
