Exhibitions of my Paintings:

You can find my work at the Offtrack Gallery in Encinitas and the COAL Gallery in Carlsbad. I have been featured artist at these galleries, and have had solo shows at libraries, banks and in retirement homes in the area. I also display my paintings and drawings in group shows.  For many years my paintings have been in the annual San Diego County Fair, at Del Mar and  are in businesses and homes in France, China, England, Australia, New Zealand and across the United States.  I have recently been chosen to be one of a hundred artists to have paintings included in a newly published book by James Lightner,  Land of Sunlight: Contemporary Paintings of San Diego County.  The book is on sale in local book stores and gift shops.

Judging and Demonstrations:

I  judge shows for art organizations in the area and give pastel demonstrations at their meetings. I help judge the Student Showcase at the San Diego County Fair and I regularly give demonstrations in pastel painting in the Fine Art Department at the Fair.

Teaching:

For several years I was the instructor for pastel landscape painting classes at Quail Botanical Gardens, in Encinitas, California. Now I give classes at my home studio.  Call to set up a date and time for classes.

Plein Air Painting:

I paint on location with other artists who are members of the San Dieguito Art Guild.  This has become my favorite way to do landscape painting since there are so many beautiful places to paint in San Diego County.

Media and Subjects:

Pastels are my favorite medium but I also work in oils, pencil and pen and ink.  As well as enjoying landscape painting, I do drawings and paintings of figures, animals and still life.  The medium I choose for a painting usually depends on the subject matter.
